George P. Shapley, Jr.

George Paul "Wooly Bully" Shapley, Jr., 57, of Valley, AL, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022, in Lee County, AL.

Mr. Shapley was born June 13, 1965, in Atlanta, was a former resident of Newnan, and had lived in the Valley, AL area for several years. He was a successful building contractor. He was also a talented artist and enjoyed painting and sketching. Wooly also enjoyed custom painting motorcycles. He loved playing guitar and entertaining and had been a member of several rock n' roll and rhythm and blues bands.

Preceded in death by his father, George P. Shapley, Sr., he is survived by his mother, Bobbie Kate Caldwell Shapley and sister, Kathy Shapley Sinks of Valley; his daughter, Olivia Kate Shapley and grandchildren, Alexander Locascio, Jr. and Maximus Locascio of Kennesaw, GA.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.

The family will have meet and greet to Celebrate the Life of Wooly with friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the memorial service.
