George Lamar Furlow

Mr. George Lamar Furlow, 73, of Griffin and formerly of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021, at Pruitt Healthcare of Griffin. Mr. Furlow was born January 16, 1948, in Hogansville, son of the late Homer and Hattie Winkles Furlow. A resident of Hogansville most of his life, he was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Hogansville and is remembered as a good, sweet, and caring person. Survivors include his sister in-law, Mildred Furlow of Newnan; niece, Kim Arrington and her husband Johnny of Hogansville; nephew, Chris Furlow and his wife Brandee of St. Simons Island; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Homer C. Furlow, Jr. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 6, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with the Reverend Mark Twyman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
