MR. GARY W. WASHINGTON
Mr. Gary W. Washington, 75, of LaGrange, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Hospice LaGrange.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 12, at Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange. Dr. Charles Chapman, the Reverend Brandon Brooks, and the Reverend Brad Thompson will officiate and interment will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Washington was born November 2, 1933, in Meriwether county, son of the late Sylvester and Lessie Roper Washington. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, was a retired building contractor, and was a longtime resident of Hogansville before making his home in LaGrange five years ago. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Heard Washington of LaGrange; daughter and son in-law, Deborah and Chuck Phillips of West Point; grandchildren, Shelley and Mike Neal of Shawmutt, Ala., Gary Phillips and Joey Phillips, both of West Point; great-grandson, Brayden Neal; and brother, Jack Washington of Turin.
The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.

Services: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 12th, at Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange
Interment: Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange
