Gary Alan Rutland

Gary Alan Rutland, 66, of LaGrange, passed away, Sunday, April 1, 2018, at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange. A graveside memorial service was conducted at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Gary was born October 21, 1951 to Ray and Dottie Rutland at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Gary lived most of his childhood in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, where he attended North Forest High School. He will be remembered fondly by his family and friends for his generous heart, quick smile, and a life-long appreciation of music. Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Susan K. Rutland, and his father, Ray Rutland. He is survived by his mother, Dottie B. Rutland of Hattiesburg, MS, sister, Linda R. Gwaltney of Hattiesburg, MS, and five nieces and nephews.
