MR. GARY JOHNS Mr. Gary Johns, 63, of the Lone Oak community of Meriwether County, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at his home surrounded by family. Born July 1, 1949 in LaGrange, Mr. Johns was the son of the late John and Lula Kennedy Johns. He was an Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War, and owned and operated Barbie Pest Control. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Johns of Lone Oak; daughter, Tina Johns of Grantville; sons and daughters in-law, Michael and Nicole Starling of Marietta, Ricky and Amanda Johns of Peachtree City, John and Barbara Johns of Owensboro, KY, Bryan and Angie Starling of Hogansville, and Chris and Tiffany Johns of Luthersville; sisters, Mary Ann Hall of Grantville and Ella Mae Wadsworth of Franklin; and 15 grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 24, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Brian Hosmer, Rev. T. J. Boyd, and Chris Johns will officiate and interment will follow at Pitts Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 9 Thursday night.
