MRS. FREDA L. HOLLAND Mrs. Freda L. Holland, 89, of Locust Grove and formerly of Grantville, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015, at Spalding Regional Hospital in Griffin. Mrs. Holland was born May 16, 1925, in Atlanta, daughter of the late Izell Lumpkin Milam and Irene Bryant Milam Hay. A resident of Grantville for 30 years, she had lived in Locust Grove since 2002 and was a member of First United Methodist Church of McDonough. She enjoyed people and loved being with her family and friends. Survivors include her sons, Floyd Statham of Lake Charles, LA, Sam and Linda Statham of Hampton; daughters, Linda and Tommy McDaniel of Griffin, Yvonne and James Garmon of Locust Grove; sister, Grace Otting of Locust Grove; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Holland; and her daughter, Gloria Kemp. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 11, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Rick Maaeser will officiate and interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
