Fred T. Rainwater

MR. FRED T. RAINWATER Mr. Fred T. Rainwater, 75, of Hogansville, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 26, at the graveside in White Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Coweta county, with the Reverend John McDuffie and the Reverend Robert Veal officiating. Mr. Rainwater was born May 22, 1933, in Coweta county, son of the late Johnnie James Rainwater and the late Eunice Wilingham Rainwater. An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Rainwater lived in Coweta county most of his life before making his home in Hogansville ten years ago. He had served as a deacon in two churches, attended Turin Baptist Church, and retired from Couch Paving Company. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jeanine Cook Rainwater; daughter, Jeannie Rainwater; son, Bobby Rainwater, all of Hogansville; and sisters, Ruth Tenny of Wedowee, AL and Sarah Fye of Newnan. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joy McCoy; granddaughter, Rachel Nell McCoy; and brother, James Rainwater. The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
