Mr. Frank V. MacNear, 72, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. MacNear was born September 8, 1950, in Newburg, New York, son of the late Frederick and Mary Jones MacNear. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran of service in the Vietnam War, he was a member of the American Legion, had made his home in Georgia since 1976 and retired as a truck driver for Keystone Freight. He enjoyed Elvis music and loved to dance and to tell jokes.
Survivors include his wife, Randy MacNear of Hogansville; children, Keith Conklin, of Tennessee, Kevin Conklin of Vero Beach, FL, Frankie McNear of New York, Joshua MacNear of Wedowee, Alabama, and Kimberly McKeehan of Lanett, Alabama; step-children, Tina Adamson of Newnan, Shari Kelly of Brooks, Leo Guckenberger of Covington, Lisa Goldacker of Millington, Tennessee, Sandy O'Neal of Fayetteville, Kelley Appling of Warner Robins, and Keith Guckenberger of Carrolton; brother, Frederick MacNear of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; 33 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family is honoring Mr. MacNear's wish that a memorial service not be conducted.
