Frances Blankenship Stanford

MRS. FRANCES STANFORD Mrs. Frances Blankenship Stanford, of Pine Mountain, passed away, Saturday, October 18, 2014, in Hospice Atlanta at Emory University Hospital. Mrs. Stanford was born June 20, 1935, in Polk County, daughter of the late Homer and Mamie Harris Blankenship. A resident of Harris County since 1957, she retired from First Union Bank in Pine Mountain, was Methodist by faith and was a member of the Chipley Woman's Club. Survivors include her sons, Robert York of Atlanta and James Stanford of Pine Mountain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert W. Stanford, Jr. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 21, at the graveside in the Hamilton Cemetery, with the Reverend Wayne Holloway officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hamilton Cemetery Fund. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
