MRS. FRANCES T. HEAD Mrs. Frances Thomaston Head, 85, of Hogansville, died Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Elder Frank Buttrey will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. he family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday. Born August 8, 1926, in Heard County, Mrs. Head was the daughter of the late Marion Robert Thomaston and the late Emma Smith Thomaston. She had lived at Hogansville since 1944, was a member of Emmaus Primitive Baptist Church, and was the wife of the late J. Paul Head. She was preceded in death by her step-son, Reginald Head and is survived by her daughter in-law, Kathryn Head of Conyers; grandchildren, Cindy and Howard Jackson of Hogansville, Jimmy and Rosie Head of Columbus, and Rosemary and Terry Davenport of Covington; six great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emmaus Primitive Baptist Church in Hogansville. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
