Frances O'Neal Daniel

Mrs. Frances O'Neal Daniel, 89, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Daniel was born February 16, 1927, in Carroll County, daughter of the late George Dewey Phillips and Jewell Thomas Phillips. A resident of Hogansville most of her life, she retired from Phillips Ladies Apparel in Hogansville after 35 years of service and was a member of Springhill Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time in the mountains, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, J. C. Daniel of Hogansville; daughters and son in-law, Barbara Johnson of Albany, Vickie and Danny Searels and Jennifer Seymour, all of Hogansville;eleven grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bob O'Neal and Elmon Birdsong. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 13, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jody Mitchell will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 9 Sunday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
