MRS. FLORENCE LEE
Mrs. Florence Fisher Lee, 97, of the Lone Oak Community of Meriwether County, died Monday, June 7, 2010, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Melanie Stanley-Soulen and the Reverend Richard Campbell will officiate and interment will be in Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lone Oak.
Mrs. Lee was born January 3, 1913, in Chattooga County, daughter of the late Francis Marion Fisher and the late Maude Atkins Fisher. She was a member of Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and a charter member of Lone Oak Community Club. She was a former teacher in the Summerville Schools.
Survivors include a niece, Shirley Fisher; great-nephew, Mark and Karen Fisher; great-nieces, Denise and Tony Jones and Franki and Jeremy Heathcock; great-great-nephews, Tyler Fisher and Andy Fisher; great-great-nieces, Summer Jones, Rose Jones, and Caroline Heathcock; and cousins, Clara and Roscoe Steele. Her husband, Robert M. "Doc" Lee, died June 10, 1975, and she was also preceded in death by two brothers and a nephew.
Memorial contributions may be made to Allen-Lee Memorial Methodist Cemetery Fund in Lone Oak or to Fishers Chapel Cemetery Fund in Summerville.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
