Mrs. Gladys Fayzell Littlefield Singleton, 91, of Hogansville, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at the home of her brother.
Mrs. Singleton was born June 30, 1925, in Heard County, daughter of the late Troy Gay Littlefield and Gertrude Rebecca Shirey Littlefield. A former resident of Cobb County, she returned to make her home in Hogansville in 1989.
Survivors include her granddaughters, Sheila Embrey and her husband, Paul of Hiram, and Michele Waldrop of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Eric Embrey, Tyler Embrey and his wife, Brittany, Ashley Bresnock, Austin Bresnock and his fiancée, Alli; great-granddaughter, Reese Embrey; daughter in-law, Gail Waldrop Dowdy of Powder Springs; brother and sister in-law, Charles and Melba Littlefield of Hogansville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John Robert Waldrop; sister, Dera Brown; and brothers, R. L. Littlefield and Rayford Littlefield.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 12, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend James Calhoun will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Sunday.
