Mrs. Faye Lewis Hobbs, 90, of Hogansville, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange.
Mrs. Hobbs was born June 6, 1930, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Smith Davis Lewis and Gussie Lee DeLoach Lewis. She was a military wife and lived in many locations throughout the country and world during her late husband's military career. She returned to this area in 1991, was employed by the Hogansville Senior Center for ten years, and attended Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Hogansville.
Survivors include her daughters, Cathy Lynn Deaton of Merritt Island, FL and Mary Jo Hill of Oviedo, FL; sisters, Linda Prescott and her husband William Prescott of Hogansville, and Diane Harling of Springhill, FL; four grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Major Larry J. Hobbs (Army, Ret.).
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 26, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Harrison Cain officiating. Interment will be in the Main Post Cemetery at Ft. Benning.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday.
