Mrs. Faith Smith Lee, 72, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Lee was born December 14, 1943, in West Point, daughter of the late James Melvin Smith and Exir Kate Turner Smith. She earned a Bachelors degree from LaGrange College and a Masters degree from the University of West Georgia. She retired from the Troup County School System after serving as an elementary school teacher at Hillcrest Elementary School for 25 years. Mrs. Lee was a member and Elder of Dallas-Dodd Presbyterian Church and was the founder of the Tranquility Group in LaGrange.
Survivors include her daughter, Valerie Lee Chambers and her husband, Steve of Grantville; son, Clifford Ray Lee, Jr. of LaGrange; daughter in-law, Paula Martin Lee of LaGrange; sister, Sandra Ann Smith of Valley, AL; and grandchildren, Nathan M. (Nate) Lee, Jr., Clifford Ray Lee III, and Anna Marie Lee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Ray Lee; her son, Nathan M. Lee; and brothers, Jimmy Smith and Donald Smith.
The family is honoring Mrs. Lee's wish that no service or visitation be held.
Faith was heart-broken over the recent loss of her son, Nathan, and the family takes great comfort knowing that she is now with Jesus and is reunited with Nathan.
