Mr. Howell Spradlin, 83, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019, at his home.
Mr. Spradlin was born November 12, 1935, in Meriwether County, son of the late George Howell Spradlin and Opal Chappell Spradlin Bonner. A resident of Hogansville most of his life, he was a member of Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange and retired from AT&T after many years of service. He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed horseback riding, farming, and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine Spradlin of Hogansville; his children, Steve Spradlin and his wife Vickie, Susie Prather and her husband Chuck all of Hogansville, David Spradlin and his wife Robin of Grantville, Devlin Spradlin and his wife Sarah of Richmond, VA; sisters and brothers in-law, Betty Smith, Janet and Jimmy Barber, Janice and Tyrone Montgomery, all of Hogansville; brothers and sisters in-law, J.C. and Evelyn Spradlin of Rome, Sidney and Nancy Spradlin of Hogansville; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren, for now.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Dr. Donald Yancey, Dr. Charles Chapman, Rev. Brad Thompson. Rev. Dale Prather, and Mr. Tyrone Montgomery will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Monday night.
