Evelyn Brown Williamson

Mrs. Evelyn Brown Williamson, 86 of the Lone Oak Community of Meriwether County, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at her home.

Born April 23, 1939 in Randolph County Alabama, Mrs. Williamson was the daughter of the late Roy Odell Brown and Lula Mae Bailey Brown. She was a resident of Lone Oak for 50 years, ran Videoland in Hogansville for a number of years, and was a hostess at Roger's BBQ for 13 years. Mrs. Williamson loved watching movies, traveling to the beach and the mountains, and loved her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Ouida Smith of Lone Oak; sons and daughters in-law, Andy and Tina Williamson of Hogansville and Donald and Gail Moore of Roanoke, AL; sisters and brother in-law, Doris Mote of West Point and Margie and Marlon Childs of Lanett, AL; 12 grandchildren; 27 great- grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Williamson; son, Timothy Nichols; daughter Deborah Cook; brothers, Randy Brown, Elon Brown, and Milton Brown; and her sisters, Patricia Strickland and Rhonda Bailey.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Reverend Randall Hodge will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 until 1 Saturday afternoon.
