Evelyn Lois Smith

Mrs. Evelyn Lois Smith, 81, of the Louise Community of Troup County, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

Born August 19, 1942, in Manchester, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Edward and Patty Rosa Helms Chapman. She worked many years as a bookkeeper for Weathers Honda and G. Mansour's and later owned and operated Realistic Impressions, a graphic design firm. She enjoyed reading, drawing and painting and loved taking care of her family.

Survivors include her son, James E. "Jim" Smith III and his wife Patty; granddaughters, Jessica Smith and Sarah Smith; step-granddaughter, Andrea Andrews; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Landrum Chapman, David Chapman, and an infant brother.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 22, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with Dr. Tommy McLeroy officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 22.
