Evelyn F. Evans

Mrs. Evelyn F. Evans, 69, of Hogansville, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Born August 1, 1947 in Hogansville, Mrs. Evans was the daughter of the late Dewitt Tucker and Louise Knott Breazeal. She was a lifelong resident of Hogansville, where she had worked at Uniroyal Mill Store for 27 years and then at Hogansville Pharmacy for 25 years. Mrs. Evans was a member of Open Door Baptist Church in Senoia. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, William Evans of Hogansville; daughter and son in-law, Sherrie and Lonnie Clayton of Moreland; sisters and brother in-law, Susan Bennett of Jesup, Pattie McCubbin of LaGrange, Linda and Wilton Oliver of Jesup, and Cindy Attaway of Carrollton; grandchildren, Holly and Devin Lassetter and Kelly Clayton and Brad Leonard; great-grandchildren, Addyson, Ayla, and Amelia Lassetter, and one on the way, Baker Leonard. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 22, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Raymond Hayes and the Reverend Tony Grant will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
