MRS. EVA MAE JOHNSON
Mrs. Eva Mae Johnson, 79, of Newnan, died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 21, at the graveside in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery near Newnan, with the Reverend Frank Jenkins, the Reverend Alice Story, and the Reverend Debbie Kendricks officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Sunday.
Mrs. Johnson was born November 27, 1930, in Cleburne County, Alabama, daughter of the late Jethro and Minnie Pearl Johnson Boyd. A member of the Lighthouse Tabernace in Tallapoosa, she lived in Grantville and Coweta County most of her life and was active in the Grantville Senior Center.
Survivors include her sons and daughters in-law, Jerry and Dixie Kee of Bremen, Gene and Darlene Kee of Muscadine, AL, Roy Johnson of Newnan, and Tony anad Patricia Johnson of Carrollton; sister, Ruby Rogers of Newnan; brother, Hollis Boyd, also of Newnan; 13 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Leroy Kee and John Henry Johnson; daughter, Linda Haney; and sons, Johnny Johnson and Michael Johnson.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
