Ethan Kirk Abernathy

Ethan Kirk Abernathy, 39, of LaGrange, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024, at his home.

Kirk was born September 6, 1984, in LaGrange, was a lifelong resident of LaGrange, and was employed as a painting contractor. He was a talented musician and loved music, especially rock 'n roll. He loved everyone and enjoyed cooking.

Survivors include his mother, Deborah Abernathy; brothers, Scotty Abernathy and his wife Ashlee, and Lex Abernathy all of LaGrange; and his faithful canine companion of 16 years, Cosmo. He was preceded in death by his father, William Alect Abernathy, Jr.

A service to celebrate Kirk's life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 18, at the graveside in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange. The family will greet friends at the cemetery.
