Mrs. Erma Jean Todd, 86, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the home of her son in Roanoke, Alabama.
Mrs. Todd was born June 24, 1937, in Carroll County, daughter of the late James Elmer Hendrix and Erma Ruth Weldon Hendrix. A longtime resident of Hogansville, she was a founding member of Bible Baptist Church in Hogansville and she and her late husband prepared Christmas baskets for church members and served as church caretakers for several years. She also spent her life as a caregiver for members of her family.
Survivors include her son, Tommy Todd and his wife Tina Todd of Roanoke, Alabama; daughter, Christina Todd and her wife Christy Todd; grandson, Hayden Calhoun, all of Fowler, Indiana; sister and brother in-law, Marie and James Hollis of Carrollton; sister in-law, Barbara Hendrix of Carrollton; and an aunt, Doris Powell of Newnan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Doyle Todd.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 3, at Ephesus Baptist Church in Heard County. The Reverend Randall Hodge will officiate and interment will be in the Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, March 2.
