Emory Allen (Bo) Smith, Jr.

Mr. Emory Allen (Bo) Smith, Jr., 74, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021, at his home. Mr. Smith was born April 2, 1947, in Troup County, son of the late Emory Allen Smith and Eudora Garrett Smith. A resident of Troup County most of his life, he retired as a long-distance truck driver after 47 years of service and drove for Milliken and Co., West Point Pepperell, and Southeastern Freight. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church, and enjoyed fishing and riding his tractor. Survivors include Elaine Prescott of Hogansville; daughter, Kim Camp and her husband Matt Camp of LaGrange; son, Emory Allen Smith III of LaGrange; step-son, Shane Prescott of Hogansville; his brother, Tom Smith of LaGrange; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 10, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jason Anglin and the Reverend Eddie Perry will officiate and interment will be in Hillview East Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 3 Saturday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
