Mrs. Emma Jean Washington, 78, of Franklin and formerly of Luthersville, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Tanner Medical Center.
Born December 20, 1937 in Tallapoosa, Alabama, Mrs. Washington was the daughter of the late Robert and Irene Nichols Hall. She loved her family, was Baptist by faith, and retired from William L. Bonnell Company after 40 years of service.
Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Jean Spratlin of Franklin; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Washington was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Washington; a son, Donney Washington; daughter, Lori Washington; and a great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Washington.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 5, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend T. J. Boyd will officiate and interment will follow in the Luthersville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 Sunday afternoon.
