Emma Yearta Pearson

Mrs. Emma Yearta Pearson, 81, of Molena, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Upson Regional Medical Center in Thomaston. Mrs. Pearson was born March 9, 1939, in LaGrange, daughter of the late James and Lola Belle Steele Yearta. A resident of Manchester before making her home in Molena, she was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and solving puzzles. Survivors include her husband, James I. Pearson of Molena; sons, Clifford Johnson of Manchester and Earnest J. Pearson of Molena; sister, Cordia Johnson of Manchester; grandchildren, David Pearson, Brittany Pearson, Abigail Pearson, Bridgette Dawley, and James Virgil Johnson; and a great-granddaughter, Eliza Dawley. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Terry Rainwater will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Wednesday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
