Mrs. Elvira Hill-Yates, 84, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Pine Knoll Nursing and Rehab in Carrollton.
Mrs. Hill-Yates was born August 1, 1934, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Ezra and Inez Todd Crews. A resident of Atlanta and Decatur for a number of years, she retired from Sears in Atlanta and then returned to LaGrange, where she worked for and retired from the Troup County Sheriff's Department.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Noles and her husband Greg Noles of LaGrange; sister, Onnie Belle Flournoy of LaGrange; brother, Jack Crews of California; granddaughter, Angela Roberts; great-granddaughters, Heidi Roberts and Carly Roberts; and a number of nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her son, Gerry Lee Hill and her daughter, Shirley J. Smith.
The family will host a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 11, at Grace Baptist Church in LaGrange, with the Reverend Mark Peak officiating.
