Elsie Ledford Pike

Mrs. Elsie Ruth Ledford Pike, 89, of LaGrange, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020 at her home after a short illness. Born February 3, 1931 in Meriwether County, Elsie was the daughter of the late Benjamin Jacob and Fannie Mae Heard Ledford. She retired from the Unity Mill of Milliken and Company and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange. Elsie loved her Church and most especially the annual Easter Play. She took great pride in keeping her home and yard immaculate and had a great love for Elvis Presley. All her family will greatly miss her and the annual Easter picnic she hosted at her home every year. Survivors include her step-daughter and constant companion, Donna Pike; nieces and nephews, Barbara A. Norred, Linda D. Stribling, LaVaughn Thompson, Phillip E. Stribling, and Ty Stribling; great-nieces and nephews, Lorrie Hester, Paige Thompson Clifton, Brook Dupree King, PJ Stribling, Clay Stribling, Beau Stribling, and Alysse Stribling; great-great-nieces and nephews, Brian Hester, Brent Hester, Hannah Clifton, Katie Dupree, Payton Dupree, Gabby Stribling, Grant Stribling, Rhett Stribling, Reid Stribling, and Rori Stribling; great-great-great nieces and nephews, Trent Hester, Tanner Hester, Lowen Hester, Barrett Hester, Lennox Hester, McKinley Hester, and Mason Hester; step-daughters, Pat Pressley, and Susan Holland; and step-sons, Terry Pike, and Danny Butler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Toby R. Pike; her brothers and sisters, Skeet Ledford, Jamie Ledford, Louise Thompson, and Grace Stribling; niece, Carol J. Thompson; and brothers in-law, Fred Thompson and Otis Earl Stribling. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 21, at the graveside in Shadowlawn Cemetery with the Reverend Brandon Brooks officiating.
