MRS. ELIZABETH W. PARHAM
Mrs. Elizabeth Wise Parham, of the Lone Oak Community of Meriwether county, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Hospice LaGrange.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 3, at Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church in Lone Oak. The Reverend Melanie Stanley-Soulen and the Reverend Marion Shivers will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Parham was born April 24, 1916, in Meriwether county, daughter of the late Burrell Eddie Wise and the late Arrie Spradlin Wise. She was a graduate of West Georgia College and retired from the Meriwether County Department of Family and Childrens Services after 35 years of service. She served as the first president of the Lone Oak Community Club and was a member of Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church, where she had been active in the United Methodist Women, had been a member of the choir, and had served as Sunday School superintendent.
Mrs. Parham was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Parham, and is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
