Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Truitt Morgan, 93, of Hogansville, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange.
Mrs. Morgan was born October 8, 1924, in Atlanta, daughter of late Carey and Ethel Craft Oliver. She was a lifelong member of St. James United Methodist Church in Hogansville and retired from Hogansville Pharmacy after almost fifty years of service.
Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Jane and Tom Bozeman of Hogansville; son and daughter in-law, Lamar and Carol Truitt of Mountville; grandchildren, Phillip Truitt, Stephen Truitt, Denise Freeman, Kristi East; and great-grandchildren, Jonathan Thomas Truitt, Avery East, David Truitt, Payton Rose Truitt; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ben P. Truitt and Lloyd B. Morgan.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Willow Heim and the Reverend Dr. Lamar Truitt will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night.
