Elizabeth Macneil Diehl

January 22, 1951 — February 20, 2022

Mrs. Elizabeth MacNeil Diehl, 71, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Mrs. Diehl was born January 22, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late Bernard Charles MacNeil and Jessie Elizabeth Augustine MacNeil. She was a member of LaGrange Active Life, where she enjoyed being a part of the Knitwits. When her health permitted, she attended Friendship Baptist Church and the Merrymakers at First Baptist Church on the Square. Mrs. Diehl loved watching the Food Network and enjoyed feeding and watching the birds in her yard. Survivors include her daughters and sons in-law, Jannette and Frank Wood, Jennifer and Dan Kusiak, all of LaGrange; sister, Bonnie Keenan and brother, Robert MacNeil, both of Michigan; grandchildren, Stephanie and Aaron Burch, Daniel Kusiak, Ryan and Lacey Kusiak, Frank Wood, Jr., and Jessie Wood; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Charles Diehl. The family will host a memorial service at 4:00 p.m., Friday, February 25, at Friendship Baptist Church in LaGrange, with the Reverend James Barnette officiating.
