MRS. ELIZABETH M. BURSON
Mrs. Elizabeth M. Burson, 78, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and formerly of Hogansville, died Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.
Mrs. Burson was born September 21, 1933, in Akron, Ohio, daughter of the late John and Hazel Kern Mallison. She had lived in Knoxville for the past seven years and was the wife of the late Earl Reid Burson.
Survivors include her daughters and sons in-law, Joyce and Jim Rodenhouse of Knoxville, Diane and Elvin Henderson of Cartersville; sons, Danny Lauro of Cartersville, Earl Burson, Jr. of Atlanta; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Emma Burson Shiver.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, March 1, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with the Reverend Joseph Jones officiating.
