Elizabeth Cooksey Boone

Mrs. Elizabeth Cooksey Boone, 90, of Luthersville, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Boone was born May 11, 1931, in Morvin, GA, daughter of the late John Proctor Cooksey and Mamie McMullin Cooksey. A resident of Meriwether County most of her life, she was a member of Luthersville Baptist Church and had assisted her late husband in the operation of his business. She loved flower gardening and being with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Moore of Moreland; brother, J. W. Cooksey of Waukeenah, FL; grandsons, Jesse Meadows, Mark Meadows, Joshua Moore, Jacob Bishop; great-grandchildren, Chasity, Regan, Braqlin, Hunter, Hudson, Hughston, Luke, Logan; great-great-grandchildren, Bowen and Jessamy. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul D. (Dan) Boone; her daughter, Elizabeth Boone Bishop; and her grandson, Michael Shane Meadows. The family will host a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 23, at Luthersville Baptist Church. The family will greet friends at the church. Claude A.
