Mr. Elbert Freeman, 89, of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed away Friday, August 9, 2019, at Traditions of Chillicothe Assisted Living Center.
Born June 7, 1930 in Calhoun County, Alabama, Mr. Freeman was the son of the late David William and Ethel Creswell Freeman. A veteran of service in the U.S. Army, Mr. Freeman was a former resident of Hogansville and Five Points, Alabama and retired as an over-the-road truck driver for West Point Stevens. He was a NASCAR fan and loved western movies, especially John Wayne movies.
Survivors include his daughter and son in-law, Tami and Hank Webb of Hogansville; son and daughter in-law, Rex and Rene Freeman of Chillicothe, OH; grandchildren, Nicole Butler, Ashley Riemerts, Jackalin Neese, Brianna Neese, Joseph Neese, Stephen Tennant, David Tennant, and Tyler Tennant; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 14, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with interment in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night.
