Elaine Thompson Meigs

Mrs. Elaine Thompson Meigs, 75, of Franklin, passed away, Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

Mrs. Meigs was born September 30, 1949, in Fayette County, daughter of the late Walter Dewey Thompson and Aley McEachern

Thompson. She lived in Grantville for a number of years before making her home in Franklin two years ago and had served as a bus driver for the Coweta County School System and as an electronics technician for Panasonic in Peachtree City prior to her retirement.

Survivors include her husband, Jerome W. Meigs; sons, Clint Dorminey of Auburn, AL, Chad Dorminey of Hogansville; step-sons, Clint Meigs of Clem, Chad Meigs of Newnan; former daughter in-law, June Dorminey of Franklin; sister, Sandra Hallford of Senoia; grandchildren, Jayren Perry, Steven Caswell, Charlie Williams, Michael Mulliniks, Brett Dorminey, Dalton McCain, Jackson Meigs; and several great-grandchildren.

It was the desire of Mrs. Meigs that no memorial service be conducted.
