Mr. Edward C. Watson, 79, of Glenn, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice.
Mr. Watson was born December 2, 1938, in Goodwater, Alabama, son of the late Golden William Watson and Clara Mae Heath Watson. A veteran of service in the Army National Guard, he was a retired over-the-road truck driver and was a member of Glenn Baptist Church. He was a talented woodworker and was known to be able to make anything from a piece of wood.
Survivors include his wife, Reba Watson of Glenn; daughters and sons in-law, Denise Watson of Seattle, Washington, Terrie Whitley of Glenn, Pamela and David Watson-Freiberg of Hogansville, Kristy and Michael Cobb of Franklin; sons and daughters in-law, Eddie and Barbara Watson of Lavaca, Arkansas, Rev. Michael and Cathy Watson of Glenn, and Scott and Karen Watson of Newnan; 20 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, May 3, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Jamie Kelley and the Reverend Michael Watson officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night.
