Edward Anthony Veal

Mr. Edward Anthony (Eddie) Veal, 57, of Hogansville, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Veal was born November 1, 1960, in Franklin, son of the late Robert and Vera Holcomb Veal. He lived in LaGrange before making his home in Hogansville and was employed as a maintenance sub-contractor for ETI, Inc. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed supporting the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Falcons. Survivors include his son, Brian Veal and Nicole Smith of Hogansville; step-daughter, Tia and Evan Whitmire of Franklin; three grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Hughes of LaGrange, Barbara Smith of LaGrange, Angie Jones of Delta, AL; brothers, Wayne Veal of Opelika, AL, Steve Veal of LaGrange, Ron Veal of Newnan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Angela Landrum Veal and brother, Ricky Veal. The memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 9, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend David Cross officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 3 Saturday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
