MRS. EDNA M. FLOWERS
Mrs. Edna Mae Flowers, 80, of Hogansville, died Sunday, May 24, 2009, at LaGrange Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p. m., Wednesday, May 27, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Reverend Max McCord will officiate and interment will be at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Manchester.
Mrs. Flowers was born January 21, 1929, in Manchester, daughter of the late Homer and Lexie Smith Daniel. After her husband retired from the Air Force in 1966, she had made her home in Hogansville, where her love of gardening was surpassed only by her love and care of her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra Echols of Hogansville; son and daughter in-law, Darrell and Trish Flowers of LaGrange; sisters, Jimmie McDaniel of Memphis, TN and Roxy Farris of Manchester; brothers, Bobby Daniel of Maryland and Johnny Daniel of Manchester; grandchildren, Garrett Flowers, Raelyn Flowers, Angela Echols, and Greg and Stacy Echols; and great-grandchildren, Collin, Sky, Rayne, Damin, and Kaison. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Flowers, and her infant daughter, Brenda Jane Flowers.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
