Mrs. Edna C. Barber, 92, of Grantville, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018, at her home.
Mrs. Barber was born March 12, 1926, in Fitzgerald, daughter of the late Frank and Thelma Holtzclaw Campbell. A member of Antioch Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, she had been employed at West Point Pepperell in Grantville and at Mae's Florist, had also operated her own florist in Greenville, and had delivered homebound meals in Hogansville until 2006. Mrs. Barber enjoyed making arts and crafts items and had exhibited her work at many area festivals.
Survivors include her sons, Ray Barber and Dennis Barber, both of Grantville; grandchildren, Edgar Barber, Donna Dean, Scott Barber, Dwayne Barber, Shane Barber, Neal Barber, Amy Hendrix, Ann Barber, Frank Barber; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Barber; and her son, Edwin Barber.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 6, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Allen Kirk and the Reverend Tommy McLeroy will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Monday night.
