Mr. Eddie Lee Watson, 66, of Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Mr. Watson was born March 31, 1958, in Newnan, son of the late Edward and Reba Gaddy Watson. A veteran of service in the U.S. Army, he lived in Heard County before making his home in Arkansas and was a retired over-the-road truck driver. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed cabinet-making and woodworking.

His survivors include his daughters, Jennifer Watson of Dallas and Jessica Decker of Temple; grandchildren, Kiara, Jeremy, Dakotah, Liam, Ryleigh, and Madalynn; sisters, Denise Watson of San Diego, CA, Pam Freiberg (David) of Hogansville, Terrie Whitley and Kristy Cobb (Michael) all of Franklin; brothers, Michael Watson (Cathy) of Glenn and Scott Watson of Carrollton; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Morrow Watson.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 30, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Michael Watson officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service, and will gather at the home of Pam Freiberg following the service.
