Earl Eugene Wood

MR. EARL E. WOOD Mr. Earl E. Wood, 77, formerly of Hogansville, died Sunday, February 9, 2014, at Southland Nursing and Rehabilitation in Peachtree City. Mr. Wood was born March 8, 1936, in Covington, Virginia, son of the late Owen Morris Wood and Naomi Moria Heironimus Wood. A member of First Christian Church of Covington, he lived in Virginia until making his home in Hogansville in the mid-1980's. Survivors include a niece, Scarlett Hanners and her husband, Earl Hanners, Jr. of Brooks; nephews, Wilson St. Clair and Gerald St. Clair, both of Hogansville; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 2014, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
