Douglas V. Richardson, Jr.

Mr. Douglas V. Richardson, Jr., 57, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019, at Piedmont Columbus Midtown Hospital. A lifelong resident of Hogansville, he was a member of Hogansville Church of Christ, where he served as treasurer, and had been employed for the past 31 years with New Ventures, Inc. in LaGrange. Survivors include his mother, Margaret Rosamond Richardson of Hogansville; brothers and sisters, Jimmy and Kathy King of LaGrange, Barbara and Rodney Sartin of Loganville, Ellis King of LaGrange, Sherrie McCollum of Newnan, and Greg and Rhonda Richardson of Hogansville; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. Those preceding him in death include his father, Douglas V. Richardson, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Henry Thomas Rosamond and Johnnie Williams Rosamond Mann; and paternal grandparents, D. H. Richardson and Mattie Lizzie Oliver Richardson. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 7, at Hogansville Church of Christ, with Minister Brad Crider officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday. Flowers are appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to Hogansville Church of Christ. Claude A.
