Doug Richard Davis

Mr. Doug R. Davis, 75, of Griffin, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021, at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital in Griffin. Born August 22, 1946, in Tampa, Florida, Mr. Davis was the son of the late Robert Forrest Davis and Bessie Grace Hartline Davis. He had lived in Griffin for the past ten years, was a former resident of Meriwether County, and retired as a warehouseman from Buffalo Rock Company. Mr. Davis enjoyed hunting. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Davis of Griffin; step-children, Sherry Harrison and her husband Jimmy Harrison of Sharpsburg, Mike Parker and his wife T J Parker, Kevin Parker and his wife Eva Parker, all of Griffin; sister, Linda Davis of Seffner, FL; half-brother, Andy Davis of Griffin; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 23, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Pastor T J. Boyd will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., Tuesday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
