Dottie Faye Stevens

Mrs. Dottie Faye Stevens, 80, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Hospice LaGrange. Mrs. Stevens was born July 31, 1938, in Randolph County, Alabama, daughter of the late Thelma Philpot Hester and the late Elmer (Buddy) Hester. She retired from Playtex International after more than 30 years of service and then served as the children's librarian at the Hogansville Public Library. She was Baptist by faith, enjoyed arts and crafts, and was an avid reader. Survivors include her daughters and son in-law, Kim Moon and Kerry and Mark Sinns, all of Hogansville; son and daughter in-law, Bruce and Tracie Stevens of Lanett, AL; grandchildren, James Moon and his wife Heather, Jessica Jones and her husband Wayne, Nick Sinns, Meridith Sinns, Caroline Smith and her husband Justin; eight great-grandchildren; and her step-sister, Joan Finley and her husband Bob of Delevan, WI. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend John Evans officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 6 Tuesday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
