Dorothy Myers Richey

Mrs. Dorothy Myers "Dodie" Richey, 73, of Palmetto, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020, at her home. Mrs. Richey was born March 1, 1947, at Ft. Benning, GA, daughter of the late E. L. Myers and Inez Massey Myers Abernathy. A longtime resident of Palmetto, she was a loving mother and grandmother, and enjoyed shopping and going to auctions and flea markets. Survivors include her sons, Bobby Richey of Atlanta, Keith Richey and Kevin Richey both of Palmetto; sister Shelia O'Neal of Hampton; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Albert "Chuck" Richey, Jr., and a sister, Sherry Lee Abernathy. The family will plan a memorial service later. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
