MRS. DOROTHY PARKER Mrs. Dorothy Norris Parker, age 84, of Hogansville, died Monday, November 15, 2010, at UniHealth Post Acute Care in Greenville. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, November 18, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. The Reverend Burt Parker and the Reverend Melanie Stanley-Soulen will officiate. Mrs. Parker was born April 13, 1926, in Hogansville, daughter of the late William Wesley Norris and the late Rose Bell Norris. A member of First Presbyterian Church, she was a lifelong resident of Hogansville. Survivors include her sons and daughters in-law, Jack and Peggy Parker of Hogansville and Perry and Mary Ann Parker of Atlanta; sister, Martha Ashenfelder of Suffolk, VA; brother, James Norris of Amelia, NE; eight grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Perry Parker, and her son Charles Richard Parker.
