Dorothy (Dot) Mcleroy

MRS. DOROTHY McLEROY Mrs. Dorothy (Dot) McLeroy, 86, of the Louise Community of Troup County, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015, at her home. Mrs. McLeroy was born June 27, 1928, in Monterey, TN daughter of the late William and Ida Roberson Price. She lived in Troup County most of her life, was a member of Welcome All Baptist Church in Hogansville, and retired as the receptionist for the Milliken and Company Guest House in LaGrange. Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Cofield and her husband Marshall of Hogansville; sons, Ernest McLeroy and his wife Faye of Valley, AL, Rev. Tommy McLeroy and his wife Susie of Louise; sister, Lee Smeal of LaGrange; special friends, Kathy and Randy Cofield; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barnard Hugh (Mac) McLeroy. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 12, at Welcome All Baptist Church in Hogansville. Reverend Tommy McLeroy and Reverend Ronnie Cannon will officiate and interment will be in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Saturday evening. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
