Mrs. Dorothy W. Davis, 87, of Warm Springs, GA and formerly of Hogansville, GA passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Warm Springs Nursing Home.
Mrs. Davis was born March 10, 1930 in Heard County, daughter of the late Carl and Mary Edna Wilson Wingo. A resident of Hogansville most of her life, she retired from Uniroyal, Inc. after 32 years of service, and had lived in Warm Springs for several years. She was a member of Countyline Church, and enjoyed reading and crafts, especially quilting and needle point.
Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Debbie and Dennis Embry of LaGrange; sons and daughters in-law, Ronnie and Britt Webb of Fairhope, AL, Tommy and Shelba Webb of Warm Springs; sisters, Peggy Gilpin of Brunswick, Sherby Woodall of North Carolina; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, T. F. Webb and Harry J. Davis.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 2, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Bill Strandberg will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
