Doris Cash Gray

MRS. DORIS C. GRAY Mrs. Doris Cash Gray, 87, of Hogansville, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Born December 28, 1926, in Carroll County, Mrs. Gray was the daughter of the late Clifford and Addie Bonner Cash. She had lived in Hogansville since 1947, was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Hogansville, and was retired from William L. Bonnell Co. in Newnan. An avid gardener, her yard was always filled with beautiful flowers and her home was always fully decorated for Christmas, Easter and Halloween. She was very thankful for her caring neighbors, but her life revolved around her family. Survivors include her daughters and sons in-law, Ann and Billy Joe Driver, Linda and Stuart Searcy, all of LaGrange, Betty and Robert Pope of Hogansville; son, Joe Gray of Hogansville; sister, Lois Martin of Grantville; brother, Grady Cash of Hogansville; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dumas Gray; son, Ricky Nelson Gray; granddaughter, Stacey Driver; and sister, Lillian Webb. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Donnie Benefield will officiate and interment will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Heard County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Thursday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
