Doris O'Leary Collins

Mrs. Doris O'Leary Collins, 92, formerly of Moreland, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Hollander Senior Living in Monroe. Mrs. Collins was born November 15, 1929, in New Jersey, had lived in Georgia for the past thirty years, and was a member of East Newnan Baptist Church. She retired as a secretary for Allen & Corey Company on Long Island, New York, and is remembered as a kind and caring person. Survivors include her sons, Patrick O'Leary of Gainesville, Michael O'Leary of Brooklyn, NY; step-son, George A. Collins, Jr. of Moreland; step-daughters, Cathy DiBlasi of Atlanta Highland, NJ, April Joyce of Hendersonville, NC; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Dennis O'Leary and George Albert Collins, Sr.; her daughter, Sharon O'Leary; and step-son, Gerald Collins. The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Friday, February 25, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with George Collins, Jr., James O'Leary, and Howard Forman officiating. Interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery.
