Doris F Coalson

Mrs. Doris F. Coalson, 73, of Franklin, passed away, Saturday, December 29, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Coalson was born October 15, 1945, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Ronie Cleveland Haynes and Ethel Redding Haynes. A lifelong resident of this area, she enjoyed outdoor activities, was a homemaker, and enjoyed caring for her family and grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Donnie Emory and his wife Bobbie of Turin, Marie Seals and her husband Ralph of Newnan, Brenda Gosdin of Franklin; great-granddaughters that she raised, Tristian Johnson and Dixie Cofield, both of Franklin; a step-son, Michael Coalson of Ellijay; brothers, Thomas Haynes of Roanoke, AL, Ronie Haynes, Jr. and Lamar Haynes, both of Newnan; a special friend she considered a sister, Patricia Parker of Newnan; six grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Coalson; son, Billy Emory; and granddaughter, Tiffany Seals. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Pastor Brian Hosmer will officiate and interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
